New players wanted!

At the moment we are looking particularly for percussion and lower brass, but players of any band instrument are always welcome.

Welcome to the Internet home of the Tuggeranong Valley Band.

The Tuggeranong Valley Band was established in 1980 as a small community concert band based in Canberra, Australia. The organisation has grown since then and now fields two bands:

  1. The Intermediate Band is a beginner to intermediate level ensemble aimed at students and adults who own their own instrument.
  2. The Concert Band is aimed at more experienced players and is of intermediate to medium advanced level.

Both bands have a wide repertoire of music covering a variety of styles including classical, jazz, popular and movie/theatre works. Players are able to enjoy playing music as part of a group and gain experience performing for the wider community while furthering their musical skills.

New members are always welcome, so if you live in the Canberra area and would like to have some fun making music, please join us at rehearsal. There are no auditions.

Both bands rehearse on Thursday evening each week during school terms at the Tuggeranong Uniting Church, near the Erindale Centre.

If you are interested in joining either of the bands please send us an email or just show up at rehearsal with your instrument.
